This is not unlike spiritual renewal, in which we can deliberately adopt a new mindset and commitment to becoming closer to God.
The best way you can show your kids that their church, their faith, their community are important is to show up with them.
We all want love and acceptance, and it is our calling as followers of Jesus to spread exactly that.

As new members, while the Disciples Path sessions were a wonderful introduction to the Church, we now feel much more connected after spending time Sunday mornings in the Welcome Center.
Kindness won’t solve everything, at least not overnight. But it gives us a place to start.
This year, we are making some changes to how our weekly programming is structured to facilitate opportunities for connection and long-term relationship building, as well as help better connect the youth ministries to the larger church community.

This year, I admit, I didn’t give anything up and didn’t take on a specific spiritual discipline, but I did come away with one thing: a feeling of deep gratitude.
The long lead up to, and the whole day’s events, (especially the halftime show!) is a fast-paced, three-ring-circus extravaganza. Now I like circuses, and watched most of the event last week, including the commercials. On one level, and for so many, it is the epitome of excitement and celebration of “winning” in our culture.
