Special Buddies

First United Methodist Church Fort Worth is looking to employ 2 – 3 Special Buddies on Sunday mornings. Special Buddies are the assigned caregivers to children within our Children’s Ministry who require individual attention and assistance.

Special Buddies work with children in kindergarten through fifth grade, and develop relationships with parents as well. This position requires a deep compassion and patience for children. Experience working with behavioral and developmental issues are a plus, as well as knowledge in the field of special education or child development.

Consistency and trust is imperative to our families, so Special Buddies are expected to be present every Sunday from 9:15 am – 12:15 pm. FUMCFW Children’s Ministry focuses on “open hearts, open minds, and open doors”, and Special Buddies help to make our church a place where families feel welcomed, safe, and loved.

This is a paid position. Include a resume with job inquiries. We are looking to hire as soon as possible.
