Executive Director

First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth
  • The Executive Director’s primary responsibility is to strategically implement the vision and goals of the Co-Pastors by serving as an extension in terms of administrative and human resource management responsibilities. This will include facilitating the church’s succession plan at the Senior Pastor position.
  • Second, the Executive Director serves the staff as their Supervisor/Coach.
  • Third, the Executive Pastor serves the Church Council and the Board of Stewards as their senior implementer and monitor of established goals and objectives for the ministry areas.
  • The Executive Director is a member of the Executive Team, whose purpose is to manage the day-to-day operations of the church and set a course for the future.

Director of Music and Worship Arts

The successful candidate for Director of Music and Worship Arts at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth will be able to accomplish the following:
  • Provide coordination between different worship styles, music genres, and performers across different services;
    Maintain excellence and theological integrity of music and worship arts in a Methodist context;
  • Manage budget and costs effectively;
  • Ensure that FUMCFW music programs serve as an outreach promote the church and attract new members;
  • Maintain a joyful and welcoming Music and Worship Arts environment that inspires members to share their musical gifts in groups, ensembles, and congregational singing;
  • Effective use of media and technology to facilitate robust and engaging worship experiences;
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following behavioral and leadership qualities and skills:
  • Fine-tuned interpersonal teaching skills for results-oriented organizational leadership; 
  • Energy and enthusiasm;
  • Collaborative and respectful management style;
  • Creativity and depth of knowledge in different styles and genres of music; 
  • Ability to conduct orchestral, instrumental, and vocal music;
  • Engaging personality for recruiting new participants while keeping intact the “backbone of the program,” our existing members; 
  • Imagination and openness to innovation in a post-pandemic environment; and
  • Effective delegation skills to cultivate a spirit of shared investment in the music ministries of the church.
