When the disciples went to the community to ask them about Jesus, “Who do you say he is?
Jesus asked his disciples to ask the people around them, “Who do you say He is?”
Just as no one mourns at a wedding, no one puts a patch of new cloth on an old dress or new wine into old wineskins.
Jesus is issuing a warning mainly to his disciples of the time to come and, in a certain way, is announcing his death and that he will not be with them.
