Looking for a nice way to get out in the October sunshine and do some good in our community? Join us THIS Saturday for a COVID-friendly* 2020 edition of one of the service projects First Church is known for throughout the greater Fort Worth community, Cowtown Brush Up!

This year’s home, located at 2124 Ridgeview, Fort Worth 76119, promises to be quick and easy work — a 1200 square-foot house with only three sides to paint (with 15 people we’ll be done well before noon!)

ALL ARE INVITED — families, singles, youth, “tweens” and adults in good health — to become part of this amazing opportunity for service to our Fort Worth community. We’ll gather and set up at 8:00 am (location TBA), then work together with groups across the city to paint more than 50 local homes in need of a refresh in a single day.

No pre-registration necessary — just email John Howard, FUMCFW Executive Director (jhoward@myfumc.org) to add your name to the list of individuals and families who want to join us in modeling this great example of community service that brings us together safely to reach out to serve those in need in a unique way.

All painting supplies will be provided; please wear your old paint clothes, hat, and favorite gloves (we will have extras as well). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you’ll need to bring your own sunscreen, insect repellant, Gatorade, water, and snacks.

No special skills required — there will be a job for everyone. Let’s go out to our community and bless others this Fall!

If you have questions or need to get in touch with someone on Saturday, please call John Howard (817-903-8976).

*Social distancing will be observed and strictly enforced; masks covering nose and mouth and gloves must be worn at all times; hand sanitizer will be provided.
