This is our Youth Choir singing inside the Illinois Memorial at the Vicksburg Battlefield. The song is a traditional Spiritual that celebrates faith during hard times — Over my head, I hear music in the air. There must be a God somewhere.

This is how they sound after just one year together!

Friends, I’ve been here at First Church for 28 years. I know when something is good…and then I know when something is special. This. Thing. Is. Special. And it’s about to grow. Our church, and the community, has no idea what’s about to hit them… and I very much want your child to be a part of this.

Our first rehearsal will be Sunday, September 10th. We rehearse right after Sunday School, from 10:30 – 11:10 am on the second floor of the Justin Building. That is such a gentle commitment considering all our Youth Choir has been able to accomplish in such a short time.

On the last day of tour our Youth Choir voted on where we’ll go next year. Youth Choir Tour 2024 is headed to Destin/Pensacola, Florida, and will include a beach day, as well as a full day in New Orleans on the way back.
