Our scripture reading today comes from one of the New Testament books known as the Pastoral Letters.
There are different kinds of tired, aren’t there? You’ve experienced being tired when you have finished a project that you feel good about. You’re tired — maybe even exhausted — but you can say, “I’m tired, but it’s a good tired.”
Our reading for today lays out very simply what is truly good and what God requires: to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God. I invite you to think about those requirements for a few minutes:

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
