There is a passage in the book of Hosea that says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. And I continually hear that knowledge is power. But it is even better if you have the shrewdness to know how to handle that knowledge.
We all want to do well in life. I have not met anyone to this day who likes to fail or make mistakes. But that does not mean we are exempt from experiencing failure or making mistakes.
By receiving wisdom and instruction or correction, we acquire knowledge and skills that enable us to make wise decisions and live according to the principles of our faith.
A proverb is a short sentence or phrase that teaches proper and moral conduct. The book of Proverbs gives practical advice on living according to our religious ideas and behaving correctly and morally.
As followers or disciples of Jesus, we are called to share the good news of salvation, especially to those who do not know it.
