As we move closer to the conclusion of the Next90 Building Campaign, it is with pleasure that we express our thanks to Connie Beck and Frank Tilley for a recent significant gift. In her own words, this is how Connie explained the reason behind this second gift.
“Frank and I have been enthusiastic about NEXT90 since the beginning. To be a part of a wonderful church like First United Methodist Fort Worth is a joy to us. We love the various missions of our church, but we particularly love the children’s and youth ministries. When NEXT90 kicked off, we made a serious commitment to the capital campaign which we were able to fulfill in the first year.
As we watched the progress of the children’s wing, we got more excited. When 58 infants were baptized in our church last year, and when 76 third graders received Bibles at church, and when 66 sixth graders were confirmed in our church, we wanted to do more to support those ministries. As the end of the campaign draws near, we decided to make a similar size donation to help close the gap in funding the capital campaign. Perhaps other members will join Frank and me in completing our capital raise on schedule. We think supporting youth in our church on their faith journeys is the best investment we could make.”
On behalf of the church staff and building committee, we are grateful to all the families and individuals who have been a part of this campaign from the beginning. Your generosity along with Connie’s and Frank’s is making it possible to end the $15.4 Million campaign on target.
If you share the same enthusiasm as Connie and Frank and would also like to be a part of closing the gap, we hope you will please consider making an additional or first-time Next90 gift. Thank you.
