Daily Bread

This story is such a beautiful culmination of the scriptures from this week. 

I mentioned in yesterday’s devotional that my mother wrote in her Bible that Psalm 84 makes her feel joyful and protected. Today’s passage is all about the joy!

That title is what nineteenth-century Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon once nicknamed this psalm.

Yesterday’s Daily Bread discussed our desire to feel seen and known.

Doesn’t this speak to our inherent need to feel seen?

Yesterday’s message included Jesus’ third prediction of His death, and the lack of the disciples’ understanding of the upcoming suffering and resurrection.

This scripture represents the third time Jesus predicted his death.

In 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, the Apostle Paul reminds us that as followers of Christ, we are no longer bound by human perspectives.

Grace is the gift we could never earn yet so desperately need.

God’s provision is always enough, and yet, God is never stagnant.
