Daily Bread

There is something in this text that can feel unsettling.

As we wrap up this week, I really appreciate this simple verse of scripture.

As many of you know, I play in the Gathering Band on Sunday mornings.

I have written in the past about how it can be good to pray the psalms, especially if you don’t know what to say when you pray.

I have to be honest, I’ve always looked at verses that tie God to might or martial prowess with a little bit of side eye. It just doesn’t fit well with my understanding of God.

I have heard this so many times: “the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone”.

This section of Acts recounts Paul’s sermon in Antioch.

Sometimes the evidence is standing right in front of you, and you just have to call it out.

There are some things that simply cannot be contained.

Writing the Daily Bread devotionals is a blessing for me.
