Prelude: “The King of Love My Shepherd Is”
Dale Wood, arranger
Peggy Graff, organist

*Call to Worship
Rev. Linda McDermott, Associate Pastor
One: Come and worship, all who love and serve the Lord—
All: outsiders and insiders, long-timers and new-comers,
the young, the old, and the in-between.
One: Come as you are, for this is God’s house—
All: a house of prayer for all people,
and God welcomes each one.

*Hymn 584: “Lord, You Give the Great Commission” (vv. 1, 2, 5)

*Affirmation of Faith 883
Rev. Lance Marshall, Co-Pastor
We are not alone, we live in God’s world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the church:
to celebrate God’s presence,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death,
God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God. Amen.

*Gloria Patri 70
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

**Please be seated

Faith Like a Child
Mister Mark, Director of Children’s Ministries

*Hymn 560: “Help Us Accept Each Other” (vv. 1, 3)

Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-16
God speaks to us through the reading of scripture.
Thanks be to God.

Sermon: “Speaking, and Hearing, the Truth In Love”

Pastoral Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Offertory: “God of Heaven”
Heather Sorenson, composer
Choral Union
Thomas Williams, director

*Doxology 95
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow.
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

One: Our gathering will soon be ended. Where will we go, and what will we do?
All: We will go out to be God’s people in the world.
One: May grace, peace, hope, love, and joy forever accompany you. Amen.

*Congregational Benediction: “Sent Forth by God’s Blessings”
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
the people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
the fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive souls reaching,
shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us
To work for God’s kingdom and answer the call.

*Postlude: “Psalm XIX”
Benedetto Marcello, composer
