We have all had some difficult experience that goes beyond our control, and it can start to affect us too much when we are prevented from being able to continue with our usual life, or that battle not only affects us directly but also affects those who are important to us.
From the disciples’ question about Jesus, it seems that it is still unclear to them who he is.
As a child, I remember that what I was most afraid of was the dark. In a way, I felt that everything bad was in the dark, so I didn’t like it, and it would be even worse if I were alone.
As Jesus slept through the storm, the disciples were in despair and fear.
I think most of us have felt an apparent absence, silence, or inactivity from God; it seems that He is sleeping while we are dealing with our needs, a strong storm in our life that we feel our life is sinking, and there is no sign that the storm is going to end soon.
