We give thanks for all that God has already given you and we welcome you in Christian love. As members together with you in the body of Christ and in this congregation of the United Methodist Church, we renew our covenant to faithfully participate in the ministries of the Church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness, that in everything, God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
*Affirmation of Faith (written by the Confirmation Class of 2026
We believe in God, the Creator of the world and everything in it.
God made each of us different and wonderful, and loves us no matter what.
God is our Lord, our protector, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
When we put our trust in God, we find help, peace, and hope for our lives.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus is the Messiah, our Savior, the beginning and the end.
Born among us, fully human and God’s own,
Jesus taught us how to live and how to love.
He showed compassion to everyone and gave his life on the cross. Through Jesus, we are forgiven, death is defeated,
and we are welcomed into God’s family by grace.
We believe in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God with us and within us,
the fire in our souls and the voice that guides us.
The Spirit brings comfort when we are sad, direction when
we are confused, and courage when we are afraid.
The Holy Spirit reminds us that we are never alone
and leads us toward joy, goodness, and truth.
We believe in our faith and the church.
Our faith may be imperfect, but God’s grace is strong
enough for us. Faith grows through worship, prayer, and
community.
It connects us to God, Jesus, and one another,
helps us become better people, and sends us to love and
serve the world.
With God’s help, we seek to live as Jesus lived, sharing God’s love with everyone.
*Gloria Patri 70
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4-14
God speaks to us through the reading of scripture.
Thanks be to God.
