One: If I speak in tongues of human beings and of angels but I don’t have love, I’m a clanging gong or a clashing cymbal.
All: Love never fails.
One: If I have the gift of prophecy and I know all the mysteries and everything else, and if I have such complete faith that I can move mountains but I don’t have love, I’m nothing.
All: Love never fails.
One: If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

We are not alone, we live in God’s world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the church:
to celebrate God’s presence,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death,
God is with us.
