It is our goal to help children know and experience God through the loving message of Jesus and the stories from the Bible. Providing a safe and nurturing environment for all our children from infancy through 5th Grade is of utmost importance. As our children grow in their understanding of God’s ever-present love, they will learn to live responsibly with others, to show respect for all life, and know that they are children of God.

Children's EventsEach Fall and Spring we begin a new semester of our super-fun and content-rich Children’s Academy Sunday School for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Once enrolled in Academy classes, children will stay in the same rooms with the same teachers all semester. Some classes are designed for younger elementary and some for older elementary. 5th Grade has its own class, called High Five. While the subject areas are varied, each class will work from the same Bible story and memory verse each month.

We have two choirs for elementary-age children, as well as a special music program for three and four-year-olds. In addition to singing frequently in our Sunday morning worship services, a variety of other fun choir activities for children include retreats, special programs, concerts and musicals. Through these choir programs, children memorize and sing important Biblical texts and Christian concepts as they learn to experience their faith through music.
Each year our FUMCFW Children’s Ministries offers, in addition to Sunday morning worship and Academy Sunday School, a variety of fun, engaging, and content-rich programming to provide opportunities for families to come together in faith and fellowship.

We’ll be honored to pray for you and your growing family during the season of waiting.
When your child arrives, please contact the church office at 817-336-7277 so we can share in your joy. With your permission, we will announce your child’s arrival in our church newsletter and print his/her name in our Sanctuary worship bulletin indicating that a flower has been placed on the altar in his/her honor. When you call, please also let us know if you would like a visit from one of our pastors. We’d be honored and thrilled to come visit and pray with you at the hospital once your little one arrives!

Please take a few minutes to share a little about yourselves with us:
We welcome people into the family of Christ by celebrating one of the most sacred moments in the life of our church — and in the lives of families and individuals. As people present themselves or their children for baptism by the water and the Spirit, we begin the embrace of our newest members into our lineage of faith.
