The Rev. Susan Phillips pastors “Lincoln’s Church,” First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Illinois, where Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln attended before his election to the presidency. Rev. Phillips’ nearly 40 years of ministry include creative worship design, community building, anti-oppression advocacy, and trauma mitigation. She co-chairs the Illinois Poor People’s Campaign and has been honored for her interfaith, LGBTQIA+, and antiracism work. She is also a recipient of the John Owen Smith Preaching Award from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, a United Methodist seminary. Rev. Phillips will invite us to reflect on this holy day and divine feminine wisdom.

All women are welcome to attend UMW Events.
