*Call to Worship
One: God has led us to this place,
All: God will lead us past this place.
One: We have been led here to explore what God is doing among us,
All: to find out who God wants us to be
One: Come and immerse yourself in God, come and worship the God who protects and guides us.
All: As God flows through us, we worship together. Amen.

*Hymn 529: “How Firm a Foundation”
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
is laid for your faith in his excellent word!
What more can he say than to you he hath said,
to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

“Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
for I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.

“When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
the rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
for I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

“The soul that on Jesus still leans for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
that soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no, never, no, never forsake.”

*Wesleyan Covenant Prayer
Rev. Zhenya Gurina-Rodriguez, PhD., Associate Pastor
I am no longer my own, but yours. Put me to what you will, place me with whom you will. Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be put to work for you or set aside for you, praised for you or criticized for you. Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have nothing. I freely and fully surrender all things to your glory and service. And now, O wonderful and holy God, Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer, you are mine, and I am yours. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on earth, Let it also be made in heaven. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Be the Light

By | Mar-24-2021 | Alzheimer's & Dementia Support, First Street Methodist Mission, Methodist Justice Ministry, Outreach, Stewardship & Generosity, Support Ministries, Z - Front Page

In Matthew, we are called to be the light of the world; to be a source of comfort and reassurance to those we meet along our faith journey. I invite you to be that source of illumination during this Easter season by making a “Second Mile” Easter offering that will support three life-changing ministries.

Thoughts on Matthew 25

As we are reaching out to train people in businesses, organizations, and institutions as part of the Age-Friendly Dementia-Friendly certification program, and as we work on fundraising and organizational needs, it is easy to lose sight of our mission.
