*Call to Worship
Rev. Zhenya Gurina Rodriguez, PhD, Associate Pastor
One: Are you waiting for God’s promises to be fulfilled? Are you watching?
All: We are here, ready to enter the presence of the King.
One: The Magi saw the star and began their journey, trusting in God’s guidance, even before they knew where it would lead.
All: We, too, are called to follow God’s light, even when the way is unclear.
One: The Magi prepared their hearts and gifts for the newborn King.
All: We are here. We are waiting. We are following the light that leads to Christ. Amen.
*Hymn 213: “Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates”
*Affirmation of Faith 881
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic◦ church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
