*Call to Worship
One: We journey to Jerusalem and join the procession, the party, the parade!
All: We lift our voices and wave our palms! Hosanna!
One: Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord.
All: Freedom is coming! Hosanna!
One: A borrowed colt to ride, our coats to line the way, our palm branches to wave, our feet to follow this path.
All: We have need of Jesus; Jesus has need of us! Hosanna!
One: Let all creation shout and sing! Open the gates! Prepare the way!
All: For God is dancing among us! Hosanna!
Anthem: “Living God’s Love”

*Hymn 278: “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”
*Affirmation of Faith 881
Rev. Phyllis Barren, Associate Pastor
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic◦ church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
*Gloria Patri 70
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Bible Blackbelt Pledge
This is the Bible – the book of God’s love.
It is full of amazing stories of faith,
amazing people of faith, and amazing deeds of faith.
The Bible may have been written long ago,
but it has great meaning in my life today!
Its words can inspire me, comfort me, teach me,
and challenge me to be my best self – a true servant of God.
The Bible is not a weapon. I will not throw it at anyone.
I will not use its words to hurt others
just so I can feel better about myself.
This is the Bible – the book of God’s love.
*Hymn 280: “All Glory, Laud, and Honor”

All: We will go out to be God’s people in the world.
One: May grace, peace, hope, love, and joy forever accompany you. Amen.
