When you are part of a worthwhile group that helps you to be a better person, you have very pleasant moments with others; the sessions are dynamic and rich in content, the attendees leave speaking well of the group, and so on.
The disciples no longer have the immediate presence of Jesus, but they have each other.
Jesus is giving his disciples his last teachings, telling them to wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit and not to leave Jerusalem until this happens, for when he comes, he will give them the power to become witnesses of Jesus’ redemptive work.
The disciples are eager to know what is next; they begin to guess if the amazing events they have witnessed mean that the kingdom of Israel will be restored.
What’s next? I had my personal experience with Jesus as my Lord and Savior; now, I am a member of the Church, and I want to know more about this new beginning in my faith. How can I grow and know more?
