*Hymn: “Hark! The Sound of Angel-Voices”
Sung to “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee”

1 Hark! the sound of angel-voices
Over Bethlehem, starlit plain;
Hark! the heavenly host rejoices,
Jesus comes to earth to reign.
See celestial radiance beaming,
Lighting up the midnight sky;
‘Tis the promised daystar gleaming,
‘Tis the day-spring from on high,

2 Westward, all along the ages,
Trace its pathway clear and bright;
Star of hope to eastern sages,
Radiant now with Gospel light.
Angels from the realms of glory,
Peace on earth, delight to sing,
Christian, tell the wondrous story,
Go, proclaim the Savior King!

Scripture: Revelation 11:15 and Isaiah 9:7
Jeanne Cochran, lay reader

Thanks be to God.

Pastoral Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Offertory: “Adeste Fideles” (O Come, All Ye Faithful)
Norman Luboff, arranger

*Doxology 95
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow.
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host.
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

*Benediction
One: Our gathering will soon be ended. Where will we go, and what will we do?
All: We will go out to be God’s people in the world.
One: May grace, peace, hope, love, and joy forever accompany you. Amen.

*Congregational Benediction: “Love has Come”
Love is born! Come share in the wonder.
Love is God now asleep in the hay.
See the glow in the eyes of His mother.
What is the name her heart is saying?
Love! Love! Love is the name she whispers.
Love! Love! Jesus, Immanuel.

*Postlude: “People, Look East!”
Kristina Langlois, arranger
