2025 Stewardship Campaign, Renewal

Dear friends,

I am thrilled to invite you to participate in our 2025 Stewardship Campaign, Renewal. This annual event helps the church determine its ministry budget for the coming year. For many, the word renewal calls upon images from nature like waves washing over a beach, revealing new sand or new growth in the spring. For others, thoughts may go to a more practical application, such as a subscription renewal. In all of these there is a feeling of the past creating a path for the future. This is not unlike spiritual renewal, in which we can deliberately adopt a new mindset and commitment to becoming closer to God.

This year our church is celebrating 150 years of being a congregation in Fort Worth. In many ways it is a chance for us as a church to renew ourselves as a community of faith as we pursue our next era. During this time, I’d like to ask you to embark on your own prayerful reflection of your discipleship and how it can be renewed. Perhaps there are different ways your time, treasures, and talent are called to further the Kingdom of God.

Linked below are a few resources that may assist you in discerning where you are on your discipleship journey regarding your financial giving. One is a Path of Generosity, which names various stages of givers and their approach to living sacrificially. The second is A Personal Plan for Giving, which expresses monthly giving amounts as a percentage of annual income. And finally, a link to the stewardship commitment card. I hope these tools are helpful in determining your readiness to take the next step in your faithful generosity. When you are ready to make a commitment, please either fill out a commitment card, or go online to fumcfw.org/give to make a pledge for your 2025 planned giving. You can find physical commitment cards in the welcome center or the sanctuary’s narthex.

I want to thank you for your faithful and generous service and support of the ministries of FUMC Fort Worth. I pray that you will experience a personal renewal of spirit and that our portion of the body of Christ is renewed and transformed as we join in ministry together.

God bless you,

Rev. Lance Marshall
Senior Pastor
