One: We have come into this sacred space, ready to confront the fear of the unknown and the possibilities of being alone.
All: We place our trust in God to accompany us on the journeys where God leads us.
One: Even though we do not always understand where God is guiding us, we have chosen to follow.
All: We will trust and witness God’s guidance in our own lives and in the lives of others.
One: Our journey of seeking God’s wisdom has begun.
All: We trust God to impart wisdom that will stay with us throughout our lives.
One: We come seeking God’s peace amid the storms that rage against our lives, confident that God is with us through it all.
All: We will respond to God’s love and grace and share it with others. Amen.

Pastoral Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)
