The Gathering Lyrics
You’ve Already Won
[Verse 1]
There’s peace that outlasts darkness
Hope that’s in the blood
There’s future grace that’s mine today
That Jesus Christ has won
So I can face tomorrow
For tomorrow’s in Your hands
All I need, you will provide
Just like you always have
[Chorus]
And I’m fighting a battle
You’ve already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
Don’t know what you’re doing
But I know what you’ve done
And I’m fighting a battle
You’ve already won
[Verse 2]
There’s mercy in the waiting
Manna for today
And when it’s gone, I know you’re not
You are my hope and stay
When the sea is raging
Your Spirit is my help
He’ll fix my eyes on Jesus Christ
I’ll say that it is well
Oh, I know that it is well
[Chorus]
I’m fighting a battle
You’ve already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
Don’t know what your doing
But I know what you’ve done, thank you, God
I’m fighting a battle
You’ve already won
[Bridge]
I know how the story ends
We will be with you again, you’re the one who saves
You’re my Savior, my defense, so we don’t have to be afraid
No more fear in life or death
I know how the story ends, we will be with you
We will be with you again
You’re my Savior, my defense, no more fear
No more fear in life or death, alright, y’all, with everything you’ve got, here we go
I know how the story ends, we will be with You
We will be with you again, You’re my Savior
You’re my Savior, my defense, no more fear
No more fear in life or death
I know how the story ends, oh, I need no other, need no other
[Chorus]
I’m fighting a battle
That You’ve already won
No matter what comes my way
I will overcome
Don’t know what your doing
But I know what you’ve done, thank you, God
I’m fighting a battle
You’ve already won
I Wait
[Verse 1]
Oh restless heart, do not grow weary
Hold on to faith and wait
The God of love, He will not tarry
He is never late
|2x|
[Chorus]
So I wait in the promise
I wait in hope
Yes, I wait in the power
Of God’s unending love
[Verse 2]
Be still and rest secure, my soul
He knows what’s best for me
Here in my patience lies the goal
To wait and trust in Thee
[Chorus]
So I wait in the promise
I wait in hope
Yes, I wait in the power
Of God’s unending love
|Vocalising|
[Verse 3]
Even through my imperfections
His light is shining through
Though dim I am still a reflection
Of mercy and The truth
[Chorus]
So I wait in the promise
I wait in hope
Yes, I wait in the power
Of God’s unending love
[Outro]
So I wait in the promise
Oh, I wait in hope
Yes, I wait in the power
Of God’s unending love
Of God’s unending love
Of God’s unending love
Jesus I Have My Doubts
Jesus, I’m sorry ’bout last night
Jesus, we both know I tried
Jesus, feels like the world’s in pieces
I’m sure You’ve got Your reasons
But I have my doubts
Jesus, I have my doubts
When everything that’s right feels wrong
And all of my belief feels gone
And the darkness in my heart is so strong
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Singing these broken songs
Looking for the light for so long
But the pain goes on and on and on
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Jesus, what a week we’ve had?
Jesus, has the world gone mad?
Jesus, feels like the world’s in pieces
I’m sure You’ve got Your reasons
But I’ve got my doubts
Jesus, I’ve got my doubts
Jesus, I’ve got my doubts
When everything that’s right feels wrong
And all of my belief feels gone
And the darkness in my heart is so strong
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Singing these broken songs
Looking for the light for so long
But the pain goes on and on and on
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Are You there? Can You hear me?
Do You care? Are You near me?
‘Cause I’m scared and I’m weary
Are You there? Can You hear me?
Are You there? Can You hear me?
Do You care? Are You near me?
‘Cause I’m scared and I’m weary
Are You there?
When everything that’s right feels wrong
And all of my belief feels gone
And the darkness in my heart is so strong
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Singing these broken songs
Looking for the light for so long
And the pain goes on and on and on
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Can You reach me here in the silence?
Can You reach me here in the silence?
I have my doubts

*Hymn 140: “Great is Thy Faithfulness”
1 Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided;
great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
2 Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. Refrain
3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! Refrain
*Affirmation of Faith 881
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
*Gloria Patri 70
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Baptismal Hymn 191: “Jesus Loves Me” (vs. 1)
Jesus loves me, this I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Congregational Response
With God’s help we will so order our lives after the example of Christ that Chole Celeste, surrounded by steadfast love, may be established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal.

*Hymn 601: “Thy Word Is a Lamp”
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
1. When I feel afraid, think I’ve lost my way,
still you’re there right beside me,
and nothing will I fear as long as you are near.
Please be near me to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.
2. Now I will not forget your love for me and yet
my heart forever is wandering.
Jesus, be my guide and hold me to your side,
and I will love you to the end.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet
and a light unto my path.

Pastoral Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13)
