Youth Ministry Fall Parent Meetings — Kicking Off the School Year

By August 20, 2019Youth Ministries

Although the fall weather is still a few weeks away, the start of school means that we’re preparing for another amazing year of youth ministry here at FUMC Forth Worth.

This Sunday, we’re holding several very important meetings for parents and students to introduce our programming for the year. Whether you’re a youth ministry regular, or whether you’ve been looking for a way to reengage with Church this fall, this Sunday is a great chance to come and catch up with friends, meet and talk with the youth ministry staff, and find out more details about all the programs we’ve been cooking up for this school year.

Youth Ministry Parent Meeting — 9:30 to 10:30 am – First Floor of the Justin Youth Building

If you’re in grades 7 – 12, come grab a donut and coffee in the Justin building and hear Kat and Matt talk about our middle school and high school programming for the year. You’ll also get the chance to meet our new youth ministry intern, Gabby!

This is also a great chance to fill out a new health form, make sure your information is updated and correct, and to check out volunteer needs for the fall.

Confirmation Parent Meeting — 9:30 – 10:30 am – Justin Building Gym (2nd Floor)

Sixth-grade students and their parents are invited to attend an informational meeting for our 2019 – 2020 Confirmation program. Led by me, this meeting will cover the basics of what Confirmation is all about, what is required, and what programs and activities are scheduled through the fall and spring.

Even if you’re on the fence about whether or not to participate in Confirmation, or not even sure what Confirmation is, this is a meeting for you! There’s no pressure to sign up and no commitment beyond this meeting.

There will also be chances for parents who have already signed up to find out all the important dates, ways to be involved in the Confirmation process, and a time for questions with staff.

Our youth ministry team has been praying for all our students and their families, and we’ve been brainstorming some awesome experiences of worship, discipleship, retreat, and fun for this year. We hope you will feel welcome to come and find out everything that our youth ministry has in store for your students, so join us this Sunday!
