Your Most Recent Contribution Statement Is In the Mail

Dear Friends,

We can be encouraged by the faithfulness we find in each other, both your faithfulness and mine. Romans 1:12b

I certainly find strength, joy, and gratitude through the faithfulness of our First Church members. Examples of your faithfulness are constant:

Faithfulness in Learning overflows from Grace Groups, Children’s Fall Academy, Adult Sunday School, and pastor-led Bible studies.

Faithfulness in Play occurs as senior adults bond over travel with the Wesleyan Adventurers, as middle schoolers plot to stay awake all night during the overnight retreat or when a visitor realizes she has found her common tribe and new church home after enjoying coffee with the Young Professionals (YoPro).

Faithfulness in Prayer happens when you pop up on Zoom for Lance’s Daily Devotional & Prayer Meeting or when you use Tim’s Daily Bread Devotional as a meditation.

Faithfulness in Service is heart-driven as volunteers commit time to a multitude of life-changing causes like First Street Methodist Mission, Kids Hope, or Project Transformation, while others choose to extend themselves in the ministries of hospitality, TV/Media, or Congregational Care.

Faithfulness in Worship has members showing up in person or online for one or more of the five wonderful options, all equally inspiring and accented with a variety of great music from traditional sacred hymns to Christian contemporary to timeless rock and roll.

Faithfulness in Giving is evident because of everything mentioned above! This intentional discipleship practice is a powerful endorsement of First Church’s purpose in and outside these sacred walls as our congregation enthusiastically carries out our Christ-inspired mission.

As we enter the fourth quarter of 2021, I am asking that you continue to be consistent and intentional in your giving to the Ministry Funding Plan and Budget so that we end the year with all ministries fully funded. If you are like me, you are still in the process of fulfilling your 2021 commitment. For that I say, thank you. If you have fulfilled your 2021 commitment, a big thank you! Perhaps you have experienced a God moment or discovered your God-given purpose and wish to honor God with an additional sacrificial gift over and above your current giving; thank you. If you have not yet made a gift to the 2021 Ministry Funding Plan and Budget, I ask you to prayerfully consider making a gift before year-end. Again, thank you for your consideration.

Regarding the enclosed 2021 Contribution Statement you received this week, should you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the Business Office at contributions@myfumc.org.

Again, thank you for proclaiming your faith and honoring God in these very personal and faithful practices! I am confident that your intentional discipleship in collaboration with others will result in a bountiful and blessed year-end for First Church’s ministries and programs.

Together as the Body of Christ,

Nancy Fisher
