Your Most Recent Contribution Statement Is in the Mail

Dear Friends,

I hope this note finds you healthy and safe as we rejoice in the season of Advent. Without a doubt, it will be an Advent to remember as we celebrate in true First Church fashion, proving that not even a grinch of a pandemic can stop Christmas.

I love our theme this year reminding us it is Still Christmas! (Click here to discover all the Advent activities happening at First Church.) I am so proud of our clergy and staff along with several lay volunteers who have been so creative in our approach to this special season.

I know you will not find this surprising, but I also want to remind you that December is our strongest month of giving. My wish is that this trend continues for 2020, especially since our member giving has decreased over the last three months. Please also realize that we are not receiving weekly plate offerings, which totaled over $90,000 in 2019. Your financial support is especially important this month as we count down to the new year.

If you have fulfilled your 2020 commitment, a big THANK YOU!

If you are like me and still in the process of fulfilling your 2020 commitment, thank you.

If you have not yet made a gift to the 2020 Ministry and Operating Fund, I ask you to prayerfully consider doing so in support of all of our ministries before year-end by going to our online giving page. You can also mail or deliver a check to our church office at 800 West Fifth Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Thank you for your consideration.

Perhaps you have experienced a God moment finding it in your heart to honor God and your fellow members who are not in a financial position to complete their annual gift by making an additional sacrificial gift over and above your current giving. Thank you on behalf of your fellow members.

By now you have received or will soon receive your 2020 eleventh month Contribution Statement either by email or through the USPS, which reflects your most recent 2020 giving activity and any balance remaining as of November 30th. Should you have any questions regarding your 2020 giving, please contact the Business Office at

As you celebrate Christ’s holy birth, my wish is that each of you take some personal time to be still with closed eyes and a quiet mind and body. Allow yourself to transcend into the beauty of the season, experiencing your own Christian rebirth with childish excitement, joy, and peace that will carry you into the new year.

Merry Christmas!
