You Are Making a Difference to These Three Nonprofits!

I am First Church Proud after hearing that the First Street Methodist Mission is now the largest foodbank in Fort Worth serving local households in need. By the end of 2021, over 800,000 pounds of food will have moved through the Mission to assist families who face food shortages.

Here is something else for you to celebrate: As someone who gives to our 2021 Ministry Fund, you are supporting the Mission. You are also supporting the life-changing work of the Methodist Justice Ministry and Dementia Friendly Fort Worth. Because of being located on the campus of First Church, overhead costs such as utilities and building maintenance for these three nonprofits are included in our annual Ministry and Operations Budget.

Something else to celebrate is that when you make a donation specifically to FSMM, MJM, or Dementia Friendly Fort Worth which many of you do, you get a bonus “star in your cap” because those designated dollars directly fund the nonprofits’ programs and client services, making for an even bigger bang for your bucks!

This is just one more example of how you as members are living out the current sermon series, “Where No One Walks Alone.”

Together thru Christ,
