It Really Is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Lisa HelmFirst a concert by world-class organ virtuoso, Dr. Bradley Hunter Welch (Remember the early service starts at 9:15 am!), followed by spectacular Christmas music by our Choral Union, percussion, and brass in the morning. Then, starting at 2:30 pm in Wesley Hall, an afternoon of family fun including Christmas caroling in our community retirement homes, downtown carriage rides, photo flip books, Christmas card crafting, and cookie decorating. That’s just what’s happening this Sunday at FUMCFW!

And then on Sunday, December 20, following another morning of beautiful Advent worship with Adoramus Choral Ensemble, starting at 6:30 pm we’ll enjoy a Tamale & Salsa reception in Wesley Hall before a delightful Adoramus presentation of Conrad Susa’s Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest.

Also next weekend, we’ll host nationally renowned folk singer-songwriter Peter Mayer in a winter concert on Sunday morning during eleven:eleven celebration in Wesley Hall. Please note that we have added a Saturday night concert in addition to Peter’s Sunday morning pre-Advent Christmas celebration.

Yes, Advent is in full swing, and I encourage you to take full advantage of all these wonderful opportunities offered by our church to celebrate the beauty and wonder of the season as a faith community. See you Sunday!
