“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe”
Dr. Tim Bruster, Senior Pastor at FUMCFW, ends the Traditional Services in the Sanctuary with the same Benediction every week. He asks, “Our gathering will soon be ended, where will we go, and what will we do?” The congregational response is, “We will go out to be God’s people in the world. May grace, peace, hope, love, and joy forever accompany you. Amen.” This call to action serves as a powerful reminder of what I’m supposed to do when I leave church.
I believe living a life rooted in faith brings me peace and joy — which is why that Benediction speaks to me. But sometimes I think the question people have is, “How do I do that?”
If you have ever struggled with the how question, I have the perfect solution — join us at the Healthy Plate Discipleship Class this Sunday, October 21, at 9:30 am in Room 350. Healthy Plate Discipleship is a framework for living your faith on a daily basis. This simple, easy to follow “road map” is built upon the concept there are six things all of us need to incorporate in our daily life in order to live out our faith. It’s doesn’t give you a “laundry list” of things to do. It won’t complicate your life — in fact, it will actually simplify it!
So if you’re looking for how, and you want to engage in a fun and interactive conversation with others (and enjoy some coffee and treats!) join us for Healthy Plate Discipleship! Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let me know you’re planning to be there.
See you Sunday,
