There was a letter to the editor in the Star-Telegram this week that was heartbreaking. The author wrote “It seems if we refuse to feed the homeless, they will go somewhere else.” In this man’s letter he made the distinction between people he deemed “productive” and those whom he judged to be “non-productive” and he based that distinction on a person’s ability to pay for services and to earn an income.
What kind of person do you think God deems productive?
We feed the homeless, the lost, the lonely, the popular, the loved, the unloved, those with money and those without money – because as the church and as disciples of Jesus Christ we too are hungry.
One reason we feed is to be fed.
Your sister in Christ,
