Formerly known as Chair Yoga, this class we’re now calling Modified Yoga is so much more than the retirement center yoga-in-a-chair picture that this misnomer tends to conjure.
Devoted participants in this growing Fit First yoga class will be quick to tell you about all the important distinctions that make this regular Hatha yoga class friendlier on the joints and great for anyone with injuries or other challenges that make regular mat yoga too difficult.
Using props, blocks, and, yes, sometimes a chair for support, this class offers a great off-the-floor workout that leaves its participants feeling good and usually amazed at the quality and intensity of this workout.
