My name is Molly Atkins, and I am the new Middle School Program Coordinator for the FUMCFW youth.
I am so excited and blessed to be a part of this team, and be able to play into these youngsters’ lives!
I started my journey in ministry at a young age, volunteering for the nursery at my hometown church in Aledo. After I received my associate’s degree in 2015, I transferred to Texas State. I then started working for a childcare agency and received opportunities to be booked through them for church positions.
This is where I found my love of the 12 – 15-year-old age group and became one of their small group leaders. I found it such an awesome age to invest in because they are just now coming into themselves and have an idea of what they want to become as an adult. My goal is to be an arbitrator for Christ and usher kids through the wonderful path of living the way Jesus wants us to by being kind, selfless, and growing into better people.
Homesick, my time in Austin ended in May 2018 and I have been searching for a way to incorporate my calling back to ministry since. When I am not here, I work at a home decor store in Clearfork. My parents, 6 siblings and 6 nieces and nephews still mostly live in the greater Fort Worth area, and I am so happy to be home to spend more time with them. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, crafts, antiquing, supporting my 2 younger brothers in their school events, and anything that involves food.
