Jesus Calls Us to Cast Our Nets and Follow
First in the series: “Tales of the Sea”
Dr. Tim Bruster
Dear Friends,
This coming Sunday we’ll begin our new worship series, “Tales of the Sea,” to look more deeply into Jesus’ ministry — and the call to his disciples — that took place largely around and on the Sea of Galilee. In this series we’ll be looking at six different stories from the Gospels and considering how we might apply them to our lives today. Just as Jesus called each of his first Disciples to use his special talents, gifts, and abilities for the sake of others, so it is with us today. Read more.
Robert Stovall gives a quick preview of the music offering for this Sunday.

The Ins and Outs of FUMCFW Playgrounds
After years of fundraising and support for our FUMC Day School, we now have two fun-filled playgrounds — one in, one out — for our children to explore their physical freedom and expand their growing minds. Read more.
Communion Cloth Donation
The Communion cloth we’ll be using on our July 30 Communion Table during our 9:30 and 11:00 am Sanctuary Worship service was donated by Charlene Burdorf. This beautiful Communion cloth was handmade by Charlene’s maternal grandmother, Faye Broadbooks, for her Methodist Church in Radium, Kansas. Read more.

Thank You!
I am beyond grateful to you for all the ways, seen and unseen, you made a difference this week. These children will never know all the ways they have been loved and nurtured. But because of you, all these children have taken a step forward on their faith journeys. To paraphrase Mister Rogers, you are helping to “Love them into being.” View VBS album. Rev. Tom McDermott
When I was 11, my Uncle Mac surprised me out back behind our house where I was smashing empty clay pots beside my mother’s garden. It was after school, and I’d had a particularly rough day of put-downs, embarrassments, and poor choices. Read more.
