We Look Forward

I hope those who attended our recent All Saints’ Concert, “A Celebration of Life,” have by now had time to appreciate and reflect upon this most impressive event. Our choirs and Dr. Bradley, along with our friends of the First Church Orchestra, did a magnificent job of presenting three major compositions. The final selection truly allowed for a most appropriate reflective ambiance. For those who attended, thank you for being a part of this truly spiritual time.

As we look forward, please know that this Sunday our wonderful Cornerstone Youth Choir will be performing in the 11:00 am worship service. Cornerstone, under the direction of Erin Ypya, continues to prepare for services throughout the year. This ensemble has remarkable, talented students who enjoy making music and presenting their talents to all who listen. Please plan to attend this Sunday at 11:00 am to show your support for the kids and their new director, Ms. Erin Ypya.

It’s just around the corner. The commercials are already on television. The stores are already shelving items for, you guessed it, THE HOLIDAYS!!!!! Well, rest assured that our two adult choral ensembles, Choral Union and Adoramus, are preparing for their Advent presentations. Choral Union will present, along with our Children’s Choir, Youth Choir, and Fifth Street Bells, their musical selections during the traditional worship services of December 11. Adoramus, a chamber choir, will also present a short, 40-minute concert on the evening of December 18. These two opportunities are truly exciting as the beautiful music of the holidays sets the table for a wonderful Christmas.

We look forward to presenting all of these holiday music gifts to you.
