UMW Hospitality

Lisa Helm

Spend some time with the ladies of United Methodist Women (UMW) and you will see why the Fort Worth chapter of this national organization is one of the strongest in the country.

These women embody welcoming in everything they do — from their wonderful events to their monthly meetings in Wesley Hall and their annual fundraiser in the spring. Trust me, if you’ve never attended one of these gatherings, you should! This group makes having meaningful fun contagious.

But what you may not know about this dynamic group of women is their commitment to the service and support of women, youth, and children in need within our community and church. They give countless hours of volunteer service to various organizations and financial support as well. Last year, they raised over $42,000 that went to FUMCFW Children’s Ministries, Kids Hope, Food 4 Kids, VBS at FUMCFW, Methodist Justice Ministry, TCU Wesley, Methodist Children’s Home, and United Community Centers.

Sunday, September 27, is UMW Sunday at FUMCFW. This means you’ll experience UMW hospitality in action. I can’t wait to see you there!
