Today’s Reading:

Psalm 3    O Lord, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying to me, “There is no help for you in God.” But you, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. I cry aloud to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy hill. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the Lord sustains me. I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Rise up, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. Deliverance belongs to the Lord; may your blessing be on your people!

Food for thought:

Sometimes it feels like the world is conspiring against us. When all hope seems lost, we can know that God watches over us even when our world seems to be caving in. Who can you bring a word of healing and hope to this day? What person or group of people needs to be reminded that they are loved and that there are people who care about them?

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
