I am sitting at my home computer writing this and thinking how blessed I am to be associated with each of you! Thank you for hanging in there with First Church during these unusual times of the pandemic. Every time I have the opportunity to talk to you by phone or email, my spirits soar; my heart smiles! I cannot say thank you enough for your generosity, your positive attitude, your encouragement, and your patience.
Because of your discipleship, First Church remains financially strong as we move into the fourth quarter. Thank you!
Our approach to our fall ministries will be different of course, but they will not be lacking. Social distancing, masks, and outdoor activities (as long as the weather cooperates) will be the norm as we celebrate and honor God’s Kingdom. Pastors are gearing up with new Bible studies and sermon series. Children and youth ministers are over-the-top creative with their programming, always putting our youngest disciples’ needs above their own. Advent planning is also well underway by the worship, music, and communications teams.
By now you should have received your third quarter 2020 Contribution Statement either by email or regular mail. Should you have any questions or comments, please contact the Business Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. And of course, if you did not receive it, please contact us.
Thanks to you, God’s love is abundant and overflowing. I witness God’s love in action on a daily basis as you and your fellow FUMCFW disciples come together primarily through technology, sharing your individual gifts of time, talents, and treasure!
I look forward to being together again onsite and in person when the time is right. Again, thank you!
Together in Discipleship,
Director of Stewardship
