Thanks for the Reminder, FUMCFW Children!

How fun to attend FUMCFW’s children musical, “Table for Five . . . Thousand!” last Sunday! I was excited of course about seeing our youngsters showcase their talent, but I also loved that the story was about unbounded generosity which was the theme and scripture for the 2018 Stewardship Campaign, providing me the perfect opportunity to remind you that our Stewardship Campaign is ongoing through December 31.

But first, let’s talk musical.

Loved the t-shirts!

Loved that the guitar class was also highlighted in an exuberant concert of fun music!

Loved watching all the kiddos perform with such enthusiasm!

Loved that volunteers Julie Dean, Amber Shive, and pianist Sara Davis generously assisted!

Loved that there was a well-deserved standing ovation! BRAVO to the talented cast and crew!

Loved that under the direction of Mister Mark, Janice Cooper, and Heather Teems that our kiddos not only sung a story about “unbounded generosity” but also practiced “unbounded generosity” when they took up an offering for the Food 4 Kids ministry! (Prior to the performance, the children voted and decided to make the event a benefit in support of this vital ministry which sends food home for 250 elementary school-aged children during the school year to relieve fear and worry as to what they will eat over the weekend.)

As you recall, the story of Feeding the Five Thousand as told in the Gospel of John explains that it was a young boy who gave his meager meal of five loaves and two fish to Jesus when the call went out from the Disciples to find food to feed all who had gathered. I am sure this youngster didn’t have a clue as to what was about to happen. He gave all he had without any fear of being left empty-handed. To quote Mister Mark, “That child trusted in the power of Jesus and in the belief that small things done with great love can change the world.”

Loved that a young boy showed unbounded generosity by giving all he had!

Loved that FUMCFW children showed unbounded generosity when they decided to help others who are less fortunate than them!

Love that YOU show unbounded generosity when you support the ministries and programs of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth!

Love that your Unbounded Generosity will change the world within these sacred walls and beyond.

Thank you!
