“The sacramental meal of bread and wine is… charged with possibilities.”
— Milton Brasher-Cunningham
In this somewhat quiet pause of early Eastertide, I’m reflecting on how meaningful it was
to share in our “signature meal” of Communion each
This Sunday, April 28th, we have very special music in our weekly “signature meal” of communion in Leonard Chapel from 10:30-10:55.
Our own world-class cellist, Dace Sultanov, will be joined by her dear friend and pianist, Aileen Hummel. (Two of the pieces will be music from the Taize community.)
Come join us! You’ll be glad you did!
In closing, I pass on another quote from Milton Brasher-Cunningham’s book Keeping the Feast that Linda McDermott shared with us at the beginning of Lent.
“(Holy Communion) is a sign of connectedness and solidarity. We want to take our turn to mark the day, to remember …’who we are and Whose we are,’ to come hungry and to go away fed, and to be reminded once more we are not alone.”
Grace and Peace,
