Charles StrobelMeet Room in the Inn founder Fr. Charles Strobel and Rachel Hester, executive director of Room in the Inn Nashville, in two events October 14 in Fort Worth.

Events are coordinated by the DRC, formerly Day Resource Center for the Homeless, and are presented with support from First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.

A partnership of the DRC and local faith communities, Room in the Inn offers people experiencing homelessness a night off the streets or away from emergency shelters once a week during the coldest and hottest months of the year.

Guests and members of host churches share an evening meal and fellowship before Room in the Inn guests bed down for a restful night of sleep in accommodations at their host church.

Room in the Inn Master Class

1:00 – 4:00 pm | Wesley Hall | $15

Fr. Strobel and Ms. Hester present a master class in essential elements of Room in the Inn hospitality for people experiencing homelessness. This session is designed for church leaders, congregational coordinators, social service providers or anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of Room in the Inn hospitality.

An Evening with Father  Charles Strobel & Friends

7:00 – 9:00 pm | Wesley Hall | $10

Fr. Strobel and Ms. Hester expand on the Room in the Inn experience over coffee and dessert. The evening session is suitable for everyone interested in Room in the Inn.
