I just have to say kudos to our Good Neighbors Sunday School class, out in full force last Sunday as hosts of Connections. They were everywhere — in the Welcome Center, parking lots, church entrances, and the Garden — making sure everyone here felt welcome. Their boundless energy and love for our church was contagious! It was so much fun to watch people enjoy themselves in the Garden, and really wonderful to see how last Sunday’s visitors were assisted and welcomed by the friendly faces of our Good Neighbors throughout the church.
Being a “front-line” greeter is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways I know of to serve our church. Think about it. You’re already here on Sunday mornings, so it’s not just one more thing to add to your schedule. Being a little bit more intentional about spending 30 minutes on Sundays chatting with visitors and sharing your love for our church will make them feel welcome — and you feel good! And, if you or your Sunday School class (or any other group, for that matter!) would like to serve as Connections hosts for a Sunday (or several!), I have a sign-up sheet in my office and would love to include you among our host groups. If you have questions or need information about available dates, please contact me (email@example.com) at 817-339-2403.
See you on Sunday!
