“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.”
— Matthew 6:28-29
Our Outdoor Retreat Ministries recently traveled to Tyler State Park for another good adventure in the great outdoors. Keeping with their theme, “Our Spiritual Gifts,” campers shared their unique gifts in small groups and during worship. They also enjoyed the beautiful weather and the daffodils at Mrs. Lee’s Garden in Gladewater, Texas, that were arriving early in full bloom. Many years ago, Mrs. Lee purchased an entire boxcar load of daffodil bulbs from Holland and they were all planted with approximately 40 workers. Today millions of golden daffodils, scattered over approximately 28 acres, bloom each spring. Like all of their journeys, this was just one of many gifts our campers experienced together.
