“The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” — Matthew 20:28
Jesus was a servant leader! He asked people to do only that which he was willing to do himself! The totality of His life was God’s loving, serving and caring giving of himself for others, incarnate in a variety of different ways! He calls us today to proactively live our own discipleship in all that we do and become through His grace and empowerment, especially during this Lenten Season.
Our Hospitality Ministry under the guidance of Sammye Dunn (our Lay Ministry Chair), offers you weekly opportunities to serve God and others through serving with our new Outdoor Parking Lot Ministry, our First Friends, our Welcome Center, our Door Entrance Greeters, and many other opportunities to welcome, guide and serve others.
Bob Leibrock, one of our parking lot hospitality greeters said, “I appreciate the opportunity to serve. It is a great way to meet members and guests.”
You also could be blessed by God by cooking pancakes (men) on Mother’s Day, May 10; or helping make “Dad’s” Root Beer Floats (women) on Father’s Day, June 21; or serving breakfast to families at the FW Ronald McDonald Home on Saturday morning, June 6. Perhaps you would like to serve on our Costa Rica Mission Team this summer (we have 17 signed up so far and room for three more), or enjoy cooking with others on our spring Outdoor Ministry Retreats to Tyler State Park and Lake Bob Sandlin.
Please contact Rev. Chuck Graff (email@example.com) at 817/339-5065 or Sammye Dunn (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details on these and numerous other serving opportunities.
