This Sunday: The Revs McDermott, Peter Mayer, Elizabeth Wills and more !

Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.

— William Butler Yeats

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

— Anne Frank

Curiosity is lying in wait for every secret.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Easter Sunday was an amazing online experience this past Sunday! There was a significant glitch at first with the media service the church uses for streaming the services. It temporarily shut down eleven:elevenas people tried to link in.  But in spite of that 20 minute delay, over 600 people watched the service on Sunday. If you missed it, you can catch the 30 minute service here.

This Sunday, April 19, Rev. Linda McDermott will be joining me, along with Peter Mayer AND Elizabeth Wills, as well as Brad Thompson and band members!

We’ll have another hope filled and engaging online experience as Linda shares some thoughts about the story of Jesus’ first appearance to the disciples.  They’re hidden in their homes, waiting for something. But it’s a kind of waiting game that reveals more about those who are waiting than what (or who) it is they are waiting for!

We’ll have the music of Peter Mayer, Elizabeth Wills, The Villagers, spoken word with Charme Robarts, some visual treats, and more.  This Sunday at 11:11 am at https://fumcfw.org/live.

I hope you are keeping healthy and finding new ways of deep connection in this time of quarantine and waiting. Let me know if you need anything at all.

Be well,

Rev. Tom McDermott

Associate Pastor

P.S. Don’t forget to send in your video clips (8-10 secs) saying “hi” and “well wishes” for our Passing the Peace video every Sunday.  We’re all missing each other and would love to see your smiling faces!  Email them to Brad Thompson | brad@bradthompson.com
