Blessing Our First Responders, Dr. Bruster’s Advent Study, and The Chrismon Tree

Chuck Graff2This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent, and we look forward to our faith journey together during this special season. We are Blessing Our First Responders once again this year, and adding locations for you to pick up the boxes (labeled with invitations to worship with us), fill them with baked goods, and then deliver them to your local police or fire stations between December 1 – 31. The boxes will be located at the Welcome Center, in Adult Sunday School classrooms, in the Children and Youth Departments, and in the Gathering, DiscipleChurch, and eleven:eleven celebration services. Please take time to bless those who serve our communities throughout the year!

Also, Dr. Bruster will be leading a special Advent Sermon Series Bible Study on Wednesday evenings, from November 30 – December 21, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, in Room 350. Don’t miss this special opportunity to explore the scriptures for each week’s worship service with Dr. Bruster.

Please stop by the Narthex this Sunday morning to view the beautifully decorated Chrismon Tree. Every year we decorate this majestic tree over the Thanksgiving holiday with a variety of magnificent Chrismon symbols, and you will want to bring your family and friends to see it. Bring your cameras as well, as it makes a great photo to send to loved ones.

See you Sunday!

Pastor Chuck
