CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE CHURCH’S FUTURE:

AN EVENING WITH RAY SIMPSON

Sunday, August 10 | 7:00 pm | Wesley Hall

First United Methodist Church

800 West 5th Street | Fort Worth, TX 76102

Join us for this special opportunity to learn how we can work together for the renewal of an authentic and vital church in our time, drawing from the unique perspective of one of the foremost leaders in Celtic Christian Spirituality.

Ray Simpson is an ordained Anglican priest who has been recognized as a minister in Methodist, United Reformed, Baptist, and Quaker faith communities. He lives on the Ancient Holy Island of Lindesfarne on the coast of England and is founder of the international Community of Aidan and Hilda, part of a movement of Christians who seek to restore Christianity as a way of life through a rhythm of prayer, work, learning, service and re-creation.

In a world of increasing overload, there are rhythms that bind us together as Christians and ground us spiritually as individuals. Don’t miss this opportunity to see how we can develop and strengthen our deepest spiritual foundation and embrace this timeless, sacred rhythm in our own lives.

“I believe something even more than mission must shape the church . . . Sustainable rhythms and the values of the Beatitudes must be foundational in emerging churches . . . The institutional, attractional and missional models each have something, but the incarnational model brings God’s Kingdom to earth as it did in the days of Jesus and the Twelve.”
