Lisa Helm“I just wanted to express to you how much fun our family had at the Halloween Carnival on Sunday. To everyone who worked to make that happen, it was awesome! We are so blessed to be a part of this wonderful church.”

canned-goodsGhosts and goblins were out in full force at FUMCFW this past Sunday! More than 500 people attended our Children’s Halloween Carnival and, as promised by this fun-filled First Church tradition, everyone enjoyed all sorts of “spooky, ooky family fun!” A big thank-you goes to the 44 volunteers who made the event possible. Plus, kudos to all those who attended and brought canned goods as the price of admission — more than 1,200 pounds of canned goods were collected for First Street Methodist Mission!

What an awesome example of radical hospitality for not only the members of our church, but for the entire community of Fort Worth.

I also have to say that in keeping with the Healthy Plate model, this was a grand opportunity to put play and serve into action!

See you on Sunday!
