What is Chair Yoga?

Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like — yoga postures practiced while seated in a chair — and more. Depending on where you are physically, Linda’s unique qualifications allow her to choose and modify seated postures and breathing exercises to invigorate and strengthen you, build core strength, straighten your posture, and enhance joint mobility — regardless of where your starting point may be. In this class, the chair becomes a tool for discovering your own best practice. You may start seated in the chair, and then progress to using the chair as support for balancing. With Linda’s expert guidance through each class, you can be sure to find exactly the right level of challenge for your most beneficial result.

Whether you’ve practiced yoga before or have never set toe on a mat, these classes are a perfect opportunity to learn. With Linda’s expert instruction and guidance, each posture has many different options to accommodate the needs of each individual participant and guide them to their best expression regardless of strength, balance, or mobility issues.
