This Sunday we begin a month exploring and experiencing prayer, especially the Lord’s Prayer.
I encourage you to find time each day to pray as a family.
And praying the Lord’s Prayer together doesn’t have to be limited to the church building.
Below is more information on our focus in Children’s this month.
And don’t forget (as if I would ever let you forget) VBS registration is live.
Here’s the link.
And as our roster of kids grows, literally by the hour, we also need adult volunteers and youth volunteers.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Memory Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 — Rejoice always, pray without ceasing.
Bible Story: The Lord’s Prayer [Matthew 6:5-13]
The Bible is full of great example of ways to pray (eyes open, eyes closed, on our knees, lying flat of the ground), as well as what we can pray for (help, to give thanks, to say I’m sorry).
Jesus gives us a great model in his prayer.
We will spend the entire month exploring prayer as a means to communicate with God — which means both reaching out to God, and listening for what God has to say.
Holy Conversations: Below are a few different Bible examples of ways to pray. Try each one out. See what works best for you.
Is there a special place you like to go to pray? Do you think you could pray using paper and colored pencils? Do you think you can sing a prayer? Dance a prayer? Build a prayer? What is something you pray for? Who is someone you can pray for?
